I will be posting an Easter post some time next week with the house decor…..but for now here is our annual Easter family photo!

I wanted to share a few of my favorite not necessarily wedding related BLOGS I am LOVING right now. (just click on the photo to go to the site)

First up is…..

When I become a mom, I want to be as cool and creative as Katherine!  Her children must have the best imaginations!  I often check out her blog to just to follow the fun projects she does with her children…..she seems like an amazing mother.

 

Next is……

I love the idea of this site and I think I am overly obsessed with it.  I was waiting on pins and needles waiting to be accepted, so I could start PINNING!!!!!!  Email me if you want me to send you an invite!

 

And then we have…..

Have you guys heard of tumblr? It is a pretty cool site like pinterest where you can “reblog” an image with out it losing it’s original source (yea for copyright!)

I think this is my favorite tumblr site! Cassandra blogs about love and all things related!!!!

 

Finally…..

I have been following Lauren’s blog for years now and I just can not get enough of her.  She blogs about her life’s adventures and all the ups and downs that come with it.  I love that she is so truthful and OPEN.  That takes a lot of guts, so I give her lots of PROPS!  Some of her posts really hit home, I look forward to reading her blog for years to come…….

I knew there was a reason I could not sleep this morning!  As I laid in bed staring at my clock thinking does it really say 5:46 AM? Yeah it did so I checked my emails and played WORDS with friends waiting for the time to be closer to 6 AM, trying so very hard not to wake Adam.  All of a sudden I get this email from Amanda at Bliss Weddings and Events telling me one of my photo entries had been chosen as a top ten finalist! How exciting!!

Lindsey, the creator asked me some questions, which she blogged yesterday.  I wanted to give back & help support what she is doing for Michigan brides so I asked her some questions too!!
Yea Michigan!

What made you start Wed Michigan?
I started Wed Michigan last fall when I decided I wanted to work in the wedding industry. Last summer, I assisted a premier wedding planner out in Boston + realized my love for two things- wedding design + Michigan! My fiance and I plan to move back to Michigan before we get married and I wanted to create a blog to start connecting to vendors and brides in the area. It turned from a passion to a hobby and now I plan to open my own wedding stationery + design business when we move back to the midwest! I have met so many wonderful vendors through the process and have a true respect for everyone I’ve connected with.
When is your wedding?
We got engaged in February and are getting married May 8, 2010 in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan! I am from Portage so getting married near my hometown was a very natural choice :)
What has been the best part about planning your wedding so far?

To be honest, there are alot of things I love about planning but perhaps my favorite is designing all the unique aspects of our wedding and coming up with ideas with my fiance. He’s been such a huge help and has really jumped on board with all the planning. I’m looking forward to designing all of our stationery and DIY’ing pretty much everything!

When I was planning my wedding I was very detailed oriented & I think that is one thing that a lot of brides do.  On Wed Michigan, Lindsey posts new fun and creative ideas & also has features on different vendors.  It is a great way to help out all of you bride who are still planning!!
