Inner Circle Photography has been nominated on Channel 4′s website for their
annual Local 4 “best of” in the wedding photography category, AGAIN!!
We are so excited to have even been nominated.
The rest is up to you all, and we really need your help!!

I woke up Monday morning to an email from Amanda at Bliss Wedding & Events telling me this…..

Crazy right?! So I had to wait until Tuesday morning to find out where I placed in the contest for “Homegrown Weddings”. I waited patiently tuntil 7 am on Tuesday to find out that I placed…

out of 400 entries! AMAZING! What an honor!

I have to say thank you first to Jen of Jen Lynne Photography for allowing me to second shoot for her on this amazing wedding.

Secondly thank you to all of you who voted & supported me during the contest! I appreciate all of you.

I can now say that I am a Bliss Blog Photo of the Year Contest Winner!!

Homegrown Michigan Wedding Photo Contest!

I knew there was a reason I could not sleep this morning! As I laid in bed staring at my clock thinking does it really say 5:46 AM? Yeah it did so I checked my emails and played WORDS with friends waiting for the time to be closer to 6 AM, trying so very hard not to wake Adam. All of a sudden I get this email from Amanda at Bliss Weddings and Events telling me one of my photo entries had been chosen as a top ten finalist! How exciting!!

Thanks to Amanda for putting this contest on! This is her second year for the contest and unlike last year she has created THREE categories:

Homegrown (Michigan based photography) Weddings
Nation-wide Weddings
Engagement Shots

Hello All! When you get a chance check out Wed Michigan.

Lindsey, the creator asked me some questions, which she blogged yesterday. I wanted to give back & help support what she is doing for Michigan brides so I asked her some questions too!!
Yea Michigan!

What made you start Wed Michigan?

I started Wed Michigan last fall when I decided I wanted to work in the wedding industry. Last summer, I assisted a premier wedding planner out in Boston + realized my love for two things- wedding design + Michigan! My fiance and I plan to move back to Michigan before we get married and I wanted to create a blog to start connecting to vendors and brides in the area. It turned from a passion to a hobby and now I plan to open my own wedding stationery + design business when we move back to the midwest! I have met so many wonderful vendors through the process and have a true respect for everyone I’ve connected with.

When is your wedding?

We got engaged in February and are getting married May 8, 2010 in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan! I am from Portage so getting married near my hometown was a very natural choice

What has been the best part about planning your wedding so far?

To be honest, there are alot of things I love about planning but perhaps my favorite is designing all the unique aspects of our wedding and coming up with ideas with my fiance. He’s been such a huge help and has really jumped on board with all the planning. I’m looking forward to designing all of our stationery and DIY’ing pretty much everything!

When I was planning my wedding I was very detailed oriented & I think that is one thing that a lot of brides do. On Wed Michigan, Lindsey posts new fun and creative ideas & also has features on different vendors. It is a great way to help out all of you bride who are still planning!!
